The P.E.T.A.L. pack has been designed to offer teachers a user friendly package that focuses on the assessment of pupil ICT skills and capability. The pack focuses on the following age ranges; 3-5 years, 5-7 years, 7-9 years and 9-11 years.

The package provides a list of activities that focus on key pupil ICT skills. This enables teachers to plan ICT work effectively around the suggested activities. Pupils are also encouraged to self-evaluate their use of ICT and record their evaluations electronically. Teachers can track pupil progress, comment on achievements, provide achievement certificates as well as levelling pupil attainment.

P.E.T.A.L. utilises Interactive Whiteboard software (Smart and Promethean) enabling each pupil to build an electronic book based on individual achievements. The achievement certificates are colourful and provide opportunities for celebration.

P.E.T.A.L. aims to engage pupils with the assessment process in an interactive way. The files below illustrate the different aspects of the package and are available in English and Welsh.
